FALCON ISLE RESOURCES APPOINTS BOARD AND MANAGEMENT TEAM
NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA, May 18, 2015 – Falcon Isle Resources Inc. ("Falcon Isle” or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of new board and management team members.
Falcon Isle is a private company based in Newport Beach, California that has a 100% interest in the Diamond Creek phosphate project (”Diamond Creek Project” or the “Project”) located in Utah. The Diamond Creek Project is comprised of 840 acres of mineral tenements hosting an estimated total resource of 15 million tons of phosphate mineralisation. With average in situ grades exceeding 24% total P2O5 (min. 10.95% available P205), the Diamond Creek Project is one the highest grade organically certified phosphate deposits in North America. The Project site is located 50 miles south of Salt Lake City and 27 miles east of the town of Spanish Fork and in close proximity to Interstate Highway 15 and the Utah Railway that provide logistic links to organic phosphate buyers throughout North America and to export markets via sea ports in California. The Project has a long history of production beginning in 1937 until 1981 when mining operations ceased.
Falcon Isle acquired interest in the project in November, 2014 and is currently completing the mine permitting process required to bring the mine into operation with first production targeted by [Q4] 2017. Initial production is planned to focus on the southern section of the Project area where an estimated 4 million tonnes of near surface phosphate resources have been identified including approximately 50,000 tons of Organically certified phosphate resources that had been stripped of overburden when previous mining operations ceased in 1981. Recent samples from the area of exposed phosphate resources returned assay grades of 20.5% P2O5 to 30.6% total P2O5 (min. 10.95% available P205) with very low levels of impurities (MgO 0.28%, Fe2O3 0.54%, Al2O3 0.52%), (Calcium averaging over 40%) resulting in organic certification by OMRI, WSDA, CDFA and USDA. With the high grade and low level of impurities, Diamond Creek phosphate will be extremely attractive to organic phosphate fertilizer producers / distributors and for the rapidly expanding organic direct application phosphate fertilizer market.
